PORSCHE’S NEW PLUG-IN HYBRID IS THEIR MOST POWERFUL CAYENNE YET

With the recent push for electric and hybrid vehicles, it only seems natural that car manufacturers would begin focusing more and more on e-mobility and Porsche have done just that. Following the release of their Panamera series, Porsche have now also revealed a Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid - which also happens to be their fastest Cayenne yet.

When running in E-Power driving mode, the new hybrid Cayenne is capable of reaching speeds of up to 84mph with a range of up to 24 miles. However when powered by its petrol engine, Porsche have quoted it to reach speeds of up to 184mph. With the Chrono Sports Package fitted as standard, Porsche have claimed a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds - making it quicker from 0-62mph than the new 718 Cayman GT4 and faster than the newest 911 Carrera.

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid now comes with extensive factory-fitted equipment as standard, with features such as the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) electric roll stabilisation system, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) rear-axle differential lock, the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) high-performance brake system, 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels in Aero design including wheel arch extensions in body colour, Power Steering Plus, and the Sport Chrono Package.

The new features don’t stop under the bonnet, in fact full connectivity is now included as standard. This enables drivers to utilise online navigation with real-time traffic information, as well as smart voice control and extensive Porsche connect services - where the driver can search for public charging stations.

Available in both an SUV and Coupe style, the new Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid won’t feature any stand-out design features to differentiate it from the other Cayenne models available - however subtle giveaways include fluorescent green trims such as badging and brake calipers.
