Arm yourself with a bullet-proof Range Rover

SVO division given license to take aim at stealing sales in armoured vehicle segment currently monopolised by Mercedes and Audi

Land Rover has designed an armoured Range Rover for those looking for that added level of security when on the road.

The Range Rover Sentinel, created by the manufacturer’s ‘Special Vehicle Operations’ unit, is a lavish mobile fortress and comes with a guide price of £290,000.

It is equipped to repel gun or grenade attacks with high-strength steel on the bodywork and multi-laminated bullet-proof windows.

For added peace of mind, the Sentinel has an anti-tamper exhaust and tyre inserts to stay running if the wheels are targeted.

Starting life as an Autobiography, SVO claim the Sentinel remains as capable as ever despite the extra weight and additions added to the model.

The team at SVO have even thought of an escape hatch hidden behind the rear seats and offer a range of bespoke features including a champagne cooler.

Don’t expect to see many on your local high street unless you share your postcode with plenty of sheikhs and heads of state.
