The much-anticipated Tesla Model X SUV should be hitting roads within the next couple of months or perhaps just a little bit longer.
In a note to shareholders, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, revealed that in a perfect world their SUV will be arriving with customers by the end of September.
However, Musk was quick to reiterate that he will not compromise a great product to hit deadlines and quarterly targets.
The gull-winged SUV has hit many snags during production putting back its 2014 launch date, but the final testing of its credentials is said to be going well.
The electric car manufacturer has already had to pin back its Model X sales forecast from 55,000 to closer to 50,000 amid large second quarter losses.
Musk has previously been quoted as telling analysts that the Model X SUV “maybe the hardest car to build in the world”.
Well, it is certainly looking that way…
