Overfinch has designed one of the world’s most luxurious and rare Defenders to mark its 40th anniversary of enhancing the Land Rover marque. Just five bespoke Defenders will be produced by the London-based firm, as Overfinch salutes its fortieth year and the discontinuation of the Defender as we know it. Costing around the £70,000 mark, the one-off Defender brings the modified touch to an off-road icon without overstepping the line.
With so few models being released, each one will come with a numbered plaque and the customary Overfinch tweaks. The exterior touches consist of a new bonnet and grille as well as bright LED running lights. Whereas, the traditionally basic cabin receives leather trim Recaro seats complete with a crest marking the occasion. Technology gets a boost too with the additions of Alpine Sat Nav, reversing camera, Bluetooth and DAB radio.
Subtlety is the key with the Defender 40th Anniversary Edition and it is bound to be snapped up even at its steep asking price.
